Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel Design and Construction

Project Background

The Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel (TKO-LTT) is a dual-two lane highway connecting Tseung Kwan O and East Kowloon. Together with the future Trunk Road T2 in Kai Tak Development and Central Kowloon Route, it will form the new strategic route network of Hong Kong providing an East-West Express Link between Kowloon and Tseung Kwan O. 

The TKO-LTT project is a designated project under Schedule 2 of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Ordinance (Cap. 499) and an environmental permit (EP) is required for its construction and operation. The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) approved the EIA Report for the TKO-LTT Project with conditions under the EIA Ordinance on 11 July 2013 and issued an EP for the construction and operation of the project on 15 August 2013.

Under the requirements of the EP (EP No. EP-458/2013/C), the Internet website is set up for placing the relevant environmental monitoring and audit data and Project information including the Project Background, EIAO Documents, EP Submissions, Baseline Monitoring Report, EM&A Reports and EM&A Data.
